James A. Burrell holds a B.S. from Purdue University, a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an M.A. from Harvard University. He also completed studies at the School of Representational Art in Chicago and also studied at the OxBow Program and the Vermont Studio Center. Jim has shown work at the Bowery Gallery, the Orleans Street Gallery, the Richeson Art Gallery and here at the Palette and Chisel Academy, where he has also taught and studied with Andrew Conklin, Helen Oh, David Leffel and Steven Assael.
