Mary Longe paints plein air in oil or watercolors. She has traveled to paint en plein air in Spain, Mexico, Cuba, England, the Virgin Islands, and around the USA. 39 paintings have been hung at Chimera Loft, Evanston IL for a solo show of Mary Longe's work. In 2018, two of Longe’s paintings were selected by jury as part of a Public Arts Program in Deerfield, IL. Her work has been accepted and exhibited with at Chicago’s Palette and Chisel through the Plein Air Painters of Chicago; Emily Oaks - Brush with Nature, Skokie, IL; the Wilmette Public Library, Wilmette, IL, and she has participated in the Cedarburg Plein Air Event 2017 and Door County Quick Paint, 2018. Longe is a member of the Palette and Chisel, Academy of Fine Arts, and the current lead for the Plein Air Painters Chicago.
