Stephanie Weidner

Stephanie is a contemporary realist painter working in oils.  She includes everyday objects in her still life compositions and makes the painted image more intriguing than the real object.  Her contemporary still life paintings range from simple quiet lyrical compositions to paintings that veer towards the surreal. When working plein air, she focuses on light and contrast and the challenge of making a flat painting surface "pop" with dimension.

With both still life and plein air painting, she loves the challenge of simplifying the amount of detail needed to make a painting come to life.
